UNSB Celebrates 2 years

On Saturday 5th December 2015, Uganda Nursing School Bwindi Celebrated 2 years of training nurses and midwives in Uganda. UNSB first opened its doors on November 27th. We would like to thank all, who have made us what we are. Looking forward to more years of academic excellence.

Bus Appeal

We have embarked on our most ambitious project to date: to raise enough funds to purchase a new 32 seater bus for our School.

Our bus will be used on a regular basis to:

  • Take our students on study trips and placements
  • Transport our teams to sporting events

We are actively seeking donations and sponsors. So far, we have raised US $ 29000, and we need an extra US $7500

Please support our campaign in any way you can.

What we need to improve the nursing education in Bwindi.

  • 10 desktop computers 5000 USD to equip the computer laboratory
  • Scholarships to cover tuition at 3000 USD student per year- this covers feeding, accommodation, teaching and all the stay at the school
  • Internet 6000 USD per year
  • Construction of additional Dormitory to accommodate more students - 48,000 USD

Announcement

Uganda Nursing School Bwindi located in Bwindi Kanungu district wishes to inform all interested students that have completed senior Six, and senior four that we are now officially receiving applications for the May and September 2016 diploma and certificate program intakes respectively.

Senior six leavers must have a principal pass in either Biology or Chemistry, while senior four leavers must have passed all their science subjects inclusive of maths and English.

We are also receiving applications for the Diploma extension Program in midwifery and nursing. Applicants must have certificates in their respective courses with a two year working experience.

The training is assisted by digital technology and each student is given an Ipad or kindle as a learning aid.
